Open coil heater elements are suitable for installation in standard 2 inch or 3 inch 40 NPs piping. Open coil heaters are used for tank and pipe heating and / or metal pipes.
A minimum gap of 1 / 8 inch is required between the ceramic and the inner wall of the tube. Installing open coil elements will provide excellent and uniform heat distribution over a large surface area.
