Premium Electric Cartridge Resistance Heater with Durable Metal Braid Lead
Our cartridge heater consists of a robust cylindrical stainless steel tube, ensuring exceptional corrosion resistance. Inside, a meticulously wound heating wire is coiled around a premium ceramic core, forming the heart of this high-performance heater.
The coil count is tailored to the heater's power specifications, ensuring optimal heat distribution and prolonging heater lifespan. This design also minimizes oxidation of the heating wire, even at elevated temperatures. Whether heating solids, liquids, or gases, our cartridge heaters excel in transferring heat swiftly through conduction, provided they are in direct contact with the heat sink. Ideal for manufacturing plastic and rubber components in the automotive industry, these heaters are equally vital in food processing, chemical, electronics, medical equipment, packaging, and nuclear industries.
Beyond our extensive standard range, we specialize in custom-developing and manufacturing cartridge heaters tailored to meet your unique specifications.
Cartridge heaters feature a crimped-on or swaged-in construction, incorporating a high-grade nickel-chromium resistance wire for exceptional performance.
This wire is meticulously wound around a superior-quality MgO core, which is perfectly centered within a stainless steel casing.

Termination Options:
1. Swaged-in Flexible Leads:
Swaged-in flexible leads with silicone-fiberglass insulation are recommended for applications where the leads must be bent at the exit point from the heater.
Unless a longer length is specified, 250mm
(10 in.)
leads are supplied.
Heaters 150mm
(6 in.)
or shorter generally have a 6mm
(1/4 in.)
no-heat section. Heaters up to 250mm
(10 in.)
require a 25mm
(1 in.)
no-heat section. Heaters greater than 250mm may require more than a 25mm no-heat section. To order, please specifyswaged-in flexible leads.
2. Right Angle Leads:
Right angle leads are used in applications with a high degree of flexing and when space limitations are critical. Lead wires exit at a 90° angle through the side of the heater sheath.
A right-angle tube may be necessary for certain constructions. To order, specifyright angle leads and lead length.

3.Premium Stainless Steel Braid
Our robust stainless steel braid is meticulously designed to safeguard leads from abrasion against sharp edges, ensuring durability and reliability.
For different lead exit configurations, we offer tailored solutions: When leads exit straight out, the braid is swaged into the no-heat section of the heater. For right-angle exits, a crimp connector firmly attaches the braids, providing seamless integration.
Unless otherwise specified, our standard leads measure 250 mm
(10 in.)
in length. The braid is 200 mm
(8 in.)
long. To customize your order, please specify your preference for straight or right-angle stainless steel braid, lead length, and no-heat section requirements.

6. High-Temperature Ceramic Bead Insulation
Our ceramic bead insulation offers exceptional protection for leads in high-temperature environments above 450°C(840°F). The ceramic beads fit over solid conductors and extend to cooler areas where flexible wires can be securely attached. To order, specify ceramic beads and length, and additional lead length requirements.
7. Versatile Stainless Steel Flanges
Our stainless steel flanges provide both a convenient mounting method and an effective way to position heaters within applications. Flange style and specifications are tailored to customer requirements. These flanges can be positioned in any no-heat section of the heater sheath. To order, specify flange, flange size, and location. .
Immersion Cartridge Heaters for Liquid Applications:
For liquid immersion heating applications, we recommend using brass or stainless steel threaded bushings.
The size of the threaded bushing is matched according to the pipe diameter. Available specifications include G thread, NPT thread, and BSPP thread , among others.
Step-by-Step Guide to Installing Cartridge Heaters:
1. Create a precise hole in the section to be heated.
2. ream a smooth hole for optimal contact and enhanced heat transfer
3. extend the hole through the section to facilitate easy removal of the unit when necessary.
4. if making a through hole is not feasible, increase the hole size within the acceptable tolerances
5. Minimize vibration and flexing of the lead wires to extend the service life
6. prevent liquid contamination by protecting the heater's end
When ordering Cartridge Heaters, please provide the following details :
1. Type of Cartridge Heater(please refer to Termination Options)
2. Diameter of Cartridge Heater
