Carbon fiber heating tubes use carbon fiber as the heating element. When an electric current passes through the carbon fiber, it generates infrared radiation, producing heat. Quartz infrared tube elements use a quartz tube as the housing for the heating element. Inside the quartz tube, there is a coiled resistance wire. When electricity flows through the resistance wire, it heats up and emits infrared radiation through the quartz tube.
