PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heating elements are highly sought after for a variety of applications, including hair dryer curlers, owing to their self-regulating heating properties coupled with enhanced safety features.
A PTC heating element is crafted from a distinctive ceramic material that showcases a positive temperature coefficient; this means that its resistance escalates as the temperature rises. When the element heats up, the increase in resistance results in a decrease in current flow. This ingenious self-regulating attribute allows PTC heaters to sustain a consistent temperature, preventing overheating-making them the perfect fit for applications like hair styling tools.
PTC heating film advantages:
1.Safety
2. Upon power stabilization, it consistently emits a continuous and constant temperature.
3.Maintains steady power levels
4. Boasts self-regulating temperature control capabilities
5.Accommodates a wide voltage range from 12V to 240V
6. Exhibits versatile and nimble dimensions
The versatility of PTC heating films is evident in their widespread use across products such as hair perm clamps, hair curlers, facial saunas, heat preservation plates, electric mosquito killers, physical therapy devices, hot melt glue guns, and other automatic heat preservation systems.

Notice:
1) Surface temperature selection ranges from 50ºC to 280ºC, with a usual tolerance of ±7ºC. Rated voltage options span from 3V to 400V, AC or DC, and customer-designed shapes are feasible.
2) For achieving rapid temperature escalation and greater heating power, several PTC pellets are assembled into a larger configuration.
PTC heater with shell
A PTC heater encased within a shell is constructed using one or more PTC stones paired with two aluminum or stainless steel plates serving as electrodes. These are ensconced in insulating material and further encapsulated within a specially designed aluminum shell. Tailored for self-regulated heating in constrained spaces such as the interiors of electrical equipment, it eliminates the need for extra temperature control devices. This variant of PTC heater is notable for its superior efficiency, reliability, safety, and ease of use.
